The meeting's opening evening will feature Dr. David Suzuki, award-winning scientist and host of the television series, The Nature of Things, who will deliver the meeting's Public Plenary Address entitled, "From Genetics to Ecology - One Scientist's Odyssey." Two-time Pulitzer Prize winner and ecologist E.O. Wilson, will be giving a keynote address, "The Future of Life," the following night. Later in the week, ESA's Past President, Stephen Carpenter, will present his address, "Millennium Ecosystem Assessment: Role of Ecologists in Scenario Development."
