The AST just sent out a call for papers the theory, practice and teaching of software testing. "The JAST is one of the new generation of scientific journals that publish on the Web with free access to the public. We welcome papers from scholars and from practitioners in the field. We will also consider proposals for special issues organized by a guest editor," said Kaner. The tentative deadline for articles for the first issue is Sept. 1, 2005. The mission of the recently formed, nonprofit service organization, AST, is to advance the understanding and practice of software testing. The AST serves a community of scholars, students and software development practitioners by providing forums for discussion of all aspects of software testing through conferences, publications, Web sites and other services.
