Society of Interventional Radiology selects Elsevier as new publisher of official journal

Elsevier is pleased to announce that, as of January 1, 2007 it will become the publisher of the Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology (JVIR), the official journal of the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR). Under the leadership of Editor Albert A. Nemcek, Jr., MD, Professor of Radiology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago, Illinois, JVIR will continue to showcase the research that matters to the interventional radiology field.

The Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology is designed to keep the reader up to date on the most significant developments in the field of minimally invasive image-guided treatments – everything from the latest state-of-the-art techniques to short technical reports that highlight novel solutions to common problems, and reviews of the cost-effectiveness of various treatment protocols. Readers will continue to find authoritative information on topics such as the use of vascular stents, dialysis access intervention, venous thromboembolic disease, uterine artery embolization, stent-grafts, carotid artery stenting, image-guided pain management, peripheral arterial disease, women’s health, and ablative therapies for liver, kidney, bone and lung tumors.
