New prostate cancer clinical guidelines to be released

WHO: Ian M. Thompson, M.D., AUA Prostate Cancer Guideline Panel Chair Christopher L. Amling, M.D., AUA Public Media Committee

WHAT: New guidelines on the treatment of prostate cancer will be released on Monday, May 21, 2007 in conjunction with the AUA Annual Meeting in Anaheim. Ian M. Thompson, M.D., chair of the AUA Prostate Cancer Guidelines Panel will discuss the new guidelines with media during a special briefing. Executive summaries of the guideline, as printed in the May issue of The Journal of Urology, will be available to interested media during the session.
