As of 2009, Springer will publish Neurotoxicity Research, the official journal of the Neurotoxicity Society. The journal is aimed at neuroscience researchers and neurologists.

"I am proud to welcome Neurotoxicity Research to our program," said Matthew Giampoala, Editor of Neuroscience and Physiology at Springer. "In working together with the Neurotoxicity Society, we look forward to building on the journal's strong reputation as an essential source of knowledge on neurotoxicity and related diseases."

Neurotoxicity Research is an international, interdisciplinary broad-based journal reporting on both basic and clinical research on classical neurotoxicity effects and mechanisms associated with neurodegeneration, necrosis, neuronal apoptosis, nerve regeneration and other related topics. Original papers, reviews and society news are included in the journal, which is published eight times a year. Richard M. Kostrzewa from Quillen College of Medicine at East Tennessee State University, USA, is editor-in-chief.

Wojciech Danysz, President of the Neurotoxicity Society, said, "We firmly believe that our joined forces will be beneficial for the journal, and we look forward to a good working relationship. We recognize that online access to the journal on SpringerLink is an important privilege of Neurotoxicity Society membership."

Neurotoxicity Research will be published at Springer both electronically and in print. Backfiles, going back to 1999, will be available on Springer's online platform SpringerLink. The journal will include Online First™, Cross Reference Linking, and Alert services. All Neurotoxicity Research authors, via the Springer Open Choice™ program, will have the option of publishing their articles using the open access publishing model. All issues from 1999 through March 2009 will be available free online on www.springerlink.com.
