AADR announces winner of the 2009 Jack Hein Public Service Award

International Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research

The American Association for Dental Research (AADR) announces Roseann Mulligan, University of Southern California, Los Angeles, as the winner of the 2009 Jack Hein Public Service Award. Dr. Mulligan will be recognized at the International Association for Dental Research's (IADR) 87th General Session & Exhibition and AADR's 38th Annual Meeting in Miami, Florida, USA, on April 1, 2009.

Dr. Mulligan has helped improve the oral health of special needs patients, the homeless, HIV-infected individuals, underserved children, and senior citizens. She has made remarkable contributions to public health dentistry.

AADR established the Jack Hein Public Service Award to honor those AADR members who have given exemplary service in the area of public affairs by consistently promoting the interests and activities of oral health research to a wide constituency. Dr. Mulligan was selected by the AADR Jack Hein Public Service Award Committee and approved by the AADR Board of Directors.
