Counseling Outcome Research and Evaluation: New journal for 2010

Los Angeles, London, New Delhi, Singapore and Washington DC (August 29, 2009) – SAGE and the Association for Assessment in Counseling and Education, a division of the American Counseling Association, are pleased to announce the 2010 launch of a new journal, Counseling Outcome Research and Evaluation (C.O.R.E.).

This new journal will provide counselor educators, researchers, and other mental health practitioners with outcome research and program evaluation practices for work with individuals across the lifespan. Addressing ethical, legal, and cultural concerns in the assessment of dependent variables, implementation of clinical interventions, and outcome research, C.O.R.E. will address topics such as:

  • treatment efficacy
  • clinical diagnosis
  • program evaluation
  • research design
  • outcome measure reviews

"Members of AACE share a passion and commitment to the advancement of measurement and evaluation," said Danica G. Hays, C.O.R.E. editor. "This new journal will be an important voice promoting the development and dissemination of knowledge relating to the concerns of those counseling professionals who need the research that will be published there in their daily work."

SAGE also publishes Measurement and Evaluation in Counseling and Development with the Association in Counseling and Education.
