SAGE

Los Angeles, CA – (April 9, 2010) – SAGE has purchased State and Local Government Review (SLGR) from the Carl Vinson Institute of Government at the University of Georgia. It is the official journal of the Section on Intergovernmental Administration & Management (SIAM) of the American Society for Public Administration.

Since 1968, the Review has provided a forum for the exchange of ideas among practitioners and academics that contributes to the knowledge and practice of state and local government politics, policy, and management. Like the Carl Vinson Institute, SIAM has an interest not only in state and local government but also in the effective interaction among public officials in a federal system.

"SIAM benefitted greatly from the partnership and excellent support received from the Carl Vinson Institute in the publication of State and Local Government Review. In continuing this tradition, SIAM is excited about working with SAGE to both expand and strengthen our connections with others and to share our research on intergovernmental administration and management," said Jack W. Meek, Chair of the ASPA Section of Intergovernmental Administration and Management.

"SAGE is very pleased to add this respected journal to our strong and growing list of political science titles," said Jayne Marks, SAGE Vice President and Editorial Director, Library Information Group. "We are looking forward to working with SIAM to grow the dissemination of this important research on intergovernmental systems."

The first SAGE published issue of State and Local Government Review will be 42/1/Winter 2010 in April 2010. http://slgr.sagepub.com
