Eurofins MWG Operon signs contract to supply oligonucleotides to Research Councils

Ebersberg, Germany, August 10, 2010 – Eurofins MWG Operon, international market leader and expert for custom oligonucleotide synthesis and RCUK Shared Services Centre Limited (RCUK SSC Ltd) have signed a three year contract for the supply of synthetic DNA & RNA oligonucleotides. This long term contract builds on the relationship developed as a preferred supplier to the Medical Research Council (MRC) during the previous four years.

RCUK SSC Ltd has been set up by the seven Research Councils of the UK (RCUK) to provide centralised services to the Research Councils and their institutes in; human resources (HR), finance, procurement, Information Technology, Information Systems and grants processing. By adopting a shared services approach, the Research Councils are making financial savings, and are at the same time increasing their operational efficiency.
