PHILADELPHIA — The American Association for Cancer Research congratulates 12 of its members on their election into the Institute of Medicine. They are among the 65 new members and five foreign associates.
Considered among the highest honors in the fields of health and medicine, the award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated outstanding professional achievement and commitment to service in the fields of health and medicine.
"This is a great day for cancer research and those who have dedicated their lives to the conquest of cancer. We are thrilled that so many of our prominent members have been honored by the Institute of Medicine," said Margaret Foti, Ph.D., M.D. (h.c.), chief executive officer of the AACR.
