Learning Matters launching new six-title series Test Yourself ... Psychology

A new series for Psychology students will publish this week in time for the back to university season. All six titles from Learning Matters –- an imprint of SAGE –- will be available for inspection and purchase on Friday. This is the first series of its kind for undergraduate Psychology students . It enables students in years 1 and 2 to assess their confidence and competence in the core knowledge domains for psychology, providing essential practice in the types of questions they will face in their formal university assessments. Information is provided to help students make sense of their results and identify strengths and weaknesses.

The series includes:

Test Yourself: Cognitive Psychology
Test Yourself: Developmental Psychology
Test Yourself: Personality and Individual Differences
Test Yourself: Research Methods and Design in Psychology
Test Yourself: Social Psychology

Each book in the series includes over 200 targeted MCQs and EMCQs, carefully put together to help assess depth of knowledge. At the end of each chapter sample essay questions are provided, along with further guidance, to complement the MCQs and further test understanding.

Series editors are Dominic Upton, Head of Psychological Sciences and Chair of Health Psychology at the University of Worcester and Penney Upton - senior lecturer and course leader for psychology at the University of Worcester.

Each title in the series costs £12.
