AsiaPCR/SingLIVE, whose 6th edition takes place from January 22nd to 24th in Singapore, is a special blend of the Asia Pacific community of interventional cardiologists with PCR for the benefit of all those interested in improving cardiovascular care today. Led by Professors Eric EECKHOUT (Switzerland), Upendra KAUL (India), KOH Tian-Hai (Singapore) and Christoph NABER (Germany) as Course Directors, AsiaPCR/SingLIVE will offer an international platform for participants from around the region and the world in an extraordinary and open exchange of clinical and theoretical knowledge.
All PCR Courses are designed to be effective educational tools. To achieve this, AsiaPCR/SingLIVE will uniquely combine the experience of the Asia Pacific region and PCR, with the goal of facilitating the exchange and expression of knowledge and experience for committed healthcare professionals locally and internationally.
Touching on all major topics concerning coronary, structural heart, peripheral and hypertension interventions, the Course will also examine the state of the art and evolution in the clinical technologies and techniques used in interventional cardiovascular medicine today.
The AsiaPCR/SingLIVE scientific programme underlines the interactive and creative approach which is the hallmark of PCR courses worldwide while, at the same time, emphasising the unique critical and active contributions of the Asia Pacific community of which it is integrally involved. This year's Course will see:
- Collaborations with a vast number of national Asian societies and working groups.
- Over 150 clinical cases and 80 abstracts coming from 24 different countries.
- Live case transmissions from the Royal Adelaide Hospital in Australia, from the Cardiovascular Institute & Fu Wai Hospital in China, from the Madras Medical Mission Hospital in India and the National Heart Centre in Singapore. Each will capture the rich diversity of the Asia Pacific region.
Of note for young physicians entering the speciality, the AsiaPCR/SingLIVE Practical PCI Pre-Course, which takes place on Wednesday January 21st, just before AsiaPCR/SingLIVE begins, is a popular dedicated full day programme covering the basics of cardiovascular interventions.
A new journal - AsiaIntervention - will be launched during AsiaPCR/SingLIVE, based on the knowledge and clinical expertise of the Asia Pacific region. Under the editorial leadership of Runlin Gao of China, Upendra Kaul of India, Takeshi Kimura of Japan and SJ Park of Korea, with Patrick W. Serruys as Senior Consulting Editor and Christoph Naber and Richard Ng as Consulting Editors, AsiaIntervention will focus on the important contributions of this region, becoming a key forum for Asian interventional medicine.
