The Finnish name of this fully state-owned, not-for-profit-company with a specific service mandate is Teknologian tutkimuskeskus VTT Oy. Its Swedish name is Teknologiska forskningscentralen VTT Ab. In English, the company is known as VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland Ltd.
In texts or spoken language, the company can be referred to as simple VTT, or VTT Ltd whenever the official form of company in question is emphasised. The name MIKES will continue to be used as an auxiliary brand name.
