ASN Kidney Week 2015: Translating kidney research advances to improve patient care

ASN Kidney Week 2015 will be held November 3 to 8 in San Diego, CA

The world's largest gathering of kidney health professionals, ASN Kidney Week 2015, will take place November 3 to 8 at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, CA. The annual meeting of the American Society of Nephrology (ASN), Kidney Week will showcase new scientific and clinical advances in kidney health from across the globe. More than 13,000 participants will share innovative approaches to improve the lives of the more than 20 million Americans and millions more worldwide burdened by kidney disease, the 9th leading cause of death in the United States.

This year's theme, Found in Translation: Connecting Research and Patient Care, will be highlighted in new sessions focused on translational research. ASN Kidney Week 2015 will also feature:

--More than 3500 posters detailing new discoveries across the spectrum of basic science, clinical, and translational research, from acute kidney injury to transplantation to methods to address health disparities

    --Leading advances in clinical kidney medicine in the High-Impact Clinical Trials and Late-Breaking Clinical Trials Poster sessions

    --Thirteen Early Program educational courses, with the latest updates in personalized medicine, clinical trials, and women's kidney health and others

    --More than 100 educational sessions with the world's leading kidney health experts

    --Four "State-of-the-Art" lectures that will explore the potential of genetics, nanomedicine, and new cellular understandings to lead to new treatments for kidney disease

    --A Scientific Exposition with more than 140 exhibitors demonstrating cutting-edge products and services for diagnosing and treating kidney diseases
