SAGE, one of the world's leading independent and academic publishers today announced an agreement made with Manchester University Press to transfer ten of their journals to SAGE. The acquisition follows an earlier agreement to acquire two titles last year.
The 10 titles transferring to SAGE comprise of:
- Alexandria -- Published in association with the British Library, Alexandria focuses on national and international library and information services (LIS) issues. It is concerned with LIS related concepts, policy and practice within all national collection institutions.
- Cahiers Élisabéthains -- Founded in 1972 and published in association with the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) and Université Paul Valéry Montpellier 3, Cahiers Élisabéthains publishes articles and reviews on all aspects of the English Renaissance.
- Critical Studies in Television -- The journal publishes articles that draw together divergent disciplines and different ways of thinking, to promote and advance television as a distinct academic discipline. It welcomes contributions on any aspect of television -- production studies and institutional histories, audience and reception studies.
- Irish Economic and Social History -- Published in association with the Economic and Social History Society of Ireland, has been published annually since 1974. It focuses on all aspects of Irish economic and social history from the Middle Ages to the present day.
- Irish Journal of Sociology -- Published in association with the Sociological Association of Ireland, the Irish Journal of Sociology is an international peer-reviewed core journal established in 1991 for the purpose of stimulating, communicating, and advancing sociological research about Irish society.
- Journal of Adult and Continuing Education -- The journal is essential for keeping in touch with the field of post-compulsory education providing a forum for rigorous theoretical and practical work in the broad fields of lifelong learning and adult, community and continuing education.
- The Journal of Transport -- For over 50 years, the Journal of Transport History has published the best scholarly articles and research on the history of transport, travel, tourism and mobility, including their relationship with planning and policy. The journal is affiliated with the International Association for the History of Transport, Traffic and Mobility.
- Literature and History -- Published since 1975, Literature and History is a biannual international refereed journal concerned with investigating the relationships between writing, history and ideology.
- Nineteenth Century Theatre and Film -- For nearly half a century, Nineteenth Century Theatre and Film has stood at the forefront of research in nineteenth-century performance of all kinds, construing theatre and film comprehensively.
- Research in Education -- The journal has an established focus on the sociology and psychology of education and gives increased emphasis to current practical issues of direct interest to those in the teaching profession.
