IOF Young Investigator Awards recognize research excellence in the bone field

Five young investigators from Belarus, India, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and Syria are the recipients of prestigious regional awards which were presented on Dec. 6, 2015 at the 3rd Middle East & Africa Osteoporosis Meeting in Abu Dhabi

The Awards were presented on December 6 during a special session of the IOF Regionals 3rd Middle East and Africa Osteoporosis Meeting, taking place from December 5-7, 2015 in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The IOF Young Investigator Research Award is offered to researchers aged 40 years or younger whose submitted abstract is among the five most highly ranked by expert reviewers. The Award includes a grant of 1000 USD and the opportunity to present at a special oral session during the Meeting.

In addition, the winners are invited to attend the IOF Young Investigator Mentoring Programme. This is a unique opportunity for up to 25 invited young scientists to be mentored by leading experts in the musculoskeletal field. The programme aims to assist participants in the advancement of their work, provide professional networking opportunities, and promote innovation in scientific research within the field.

Abstracts from the 3rd Middle East & Africa Meeting will be published in the journal Osteoporosis International Volume 26, Supplement 2, 2015.
