Amsterdam, Feb. 23, 2016 - Elsevier, a world-leading provider of scientific, technical and medical information products and solutions, announces the launch of a new quarterly journal: Surfaces and Interfaces. Adding to Elsevier's expanding Physics portfolio, Surfaces and Interfaces will publish research papers in all fields of surface science. The journal focuses on research papers which may not always find the right home on first submission to its sister journals at Elsevier, Applied Surface Science, Surface and Coatings Technology and Thin Solid Films.
"This new journal will be a very respectful outlet for 'sound science' papers in all research areas on surfaces and interfaces. We define sound science papers as papers that describe new and well-executed research, but that do not necessarily provide brand new insights or are merely a description of research results," said Editor Dr. Chantal Boulmer-Leborgne from the Université d' Orléans, France. "As such, the scope of this journal is well-suited to provide a fast and efficient platform for disseminating scientific results in this wide area of sound research."
