Society for Disaster Medicine and Public Health

This 2nd Annual Meeting of the Society for Disaster Medicine and Public Health (SDMPH) brings together the diverse membership of healthcare and public health professionals to provide leadership, education and support for continued advancement of the discipline of disaster medicine and public health (DMPH). The meeting theme, Disaster Global Health: Prepare, Respond, Recover sets the agenda to provide perspectives on the global response to large-scale health emergencies, and includes bombings and mass shootings. Presentations on the fundamentals that drive the DMPH discipline include a focus on the universe of responders, disaster education and training and research priorities in DMPH. Participants will also be able to draw on their knowledge and experience by participating in a modified tabletop exercise on the final day.

Disaster Medicine and Public Health Preparedness is the first comprehensive and authoritative journal emphasizing public health preparedness and disaster response for all health care and public health professionals globally. The journal seeks to translate science into practice and integrate medical and public health perspectives. DMPHP is an official journal of the Society for Disaster Medicine and Public Health, and is produced by Cambridge University Press.
