Co-culture of 3-D Printed Scaffolds for Cartilage Tissue Engineering
A new technique may allow for the creation of patient-specific tissue engineering. For the first time, adipose-derived stem cells were co-cultured with chondrocytes on 3-D printed scaffolds to engineer facial and ear cartilage. Co-culturing potentially eliminates the need for prolonged cell culture, allowing translation into clinical use.
Multicenter Study: Effect of Antibiotic Choice on Post-operative Infection

Cetuximab-IRDye800 Identifies Nodal Basin for Head and Neck Cancer
For this study, 14 head and neck cancer patients underwent lymph node mapping that was molecularly targeted based on antibody imaging. Findings demonstrate that systemically infused dye can be used to identify draining nodes in patients with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma, potentially providing intraoperative guidance for identification of positive lymph nodes and to improve resection rates.
