Oxford University Press to publish SLEEP

Business Announcement

Oxford University Press USA

1/23 (New York, NY) - Oxford University Press and the Sleep Research Society are pleased to announce their new partnership to publish SLEEP beginning January 2017.

SLEEP is the official journal of the Sleep Research Society (SRS). The journal is a monthly, peer-reviewed scientific and medical journal that is published online. SLEEP publishes a wide spectrum of basic, translational, and clinical research about sleep and circadian science. The primary audiences are research scientists and clinicians specializing in circadian science, sleep medicine and treatment. The first issue of SLEEP was published in 1978.

"Our new partnership with Oxford University Press presents tremendous opportunities for SLEEP, and for the journal's contributors and audience," said Dr. Ronald Szymusiak, Editor-in-Chief. "Continuous publication will ensure minimal delay between manuscript acceptance and online publication, optional open access publication will be available for the first time and the newly designed SLEEP website will provide state-of-the-art access to content."

"We are extremely excited to partner with Oxford in publishing SLEEP," said Dr. Sean P.A. Drummond, President of the Sleep Research Society. "Oxford's expertise will help us reach new international audiences, while better serving our current members and readers. We believe SLEEP will become the major scientific outlet for moving the sleep and circadian field forward."
