Business Announcement

Elsevier

Elsevier, the information analytics company specializing in science and health, today announced that it will be the new publisher of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia beginning in the spring of 2017.

Established in 1970, Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia is the official journal of the Association of Veterinary Anaesthetists and the American College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia. The journal publishes original, peer-reviewed articles covering all branches of anaesthesia and the relief of pain in animals, alongside reviews, editorials, case reports and more.

"Elsevier has provided us with a unique opportunity to renovate the journal and its websites," said co-Editor-in-Chief Dr. Shannon Axiak Flammer from the University of Bern in Switzerland. "Our now streamlined workflow will allow us to expedite informative veterinary research to publication and improve the experience of both our authors and readers."

Elsevier and the journal's prestigious international editorial board will be working closely together to maximize the benefits that Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia can provide to its global community of large and small animal veterinary medicine professionals, researchers, academic clinicians, practicing veterinarians, as well as the libraries that serve them. Subscribers will have access to the journal's content through Elsevier's online platforms. These offer readers enhanced features and expanded discoverability, while authors benefit from seamless and easy dissemination of their work.

"We are extremely proud to have the opportunity to add this important journal to our veterinary medicine portfolio," commented Emma Bruun, Publisher for the animal and veterinary science journal portfolio at Elsevier. "We look forward to working with the Editors-in-Chief and affiliated societies to further enhance the journal's reputation and influence, as well as to expand its already impressive global communities of contributors, reviewers and readers. We recognize the vital role that this publication plays in driving clinical veterinary research forward and in supporting the delivery of optimal patient care."
