A series of articles in the Sackler Colloquium on Improving the Reproducibility of Scientific Research addresses issues surrounding transparency and reproducibility in scientific research, including explorations of historical context for reproducibility issues in science and how science can progress in the face of such issues, spin in scientific publications and potential ways to prevent it, and types of media narratives about science and ways to accurately reflect the inherent challenges and self-correcting nature of the scientific process.
