A study reanalyzes ages of human remains found at the archaeological site of Anzick in Montana to resolve a previously discovered discrepancy between the age of Clovis artifacts found at the site and the remains; the study analyzed the radiocarbon ages of the amino acid hydroxyproline, extracted from the bones, to arrive at a radiocarbon age that is in agreement with the artifacts, suggesting that Anzick may be the only known example of burial in the Clovis culture.
