Articles in the Sackler Colloquium on Creativity and Collaboration: Revisiting Cybernetic Serendipity explore how interactions between scientific and creative disciplines can enhance discovery and innovation; examples include the observation that arts, crafts, and design practices, such as metal- and wood-working, are correlated with patent production among STEM and medicine professionals, and how internet and communications technology can facilitate community-driven environmental projects.
