The Society for Risk Analysis (SRA), the world's leading authority on risk sciences and its applications, is hosting a webinar on Thursday, June 11 at 11 a.m. ET to discuss the latest research on aerosol transmission of COVID-19.
The discussion will be hosted by Seth Guikema, Ph.D., president of the Society, and will feature senior Society members Charles Haas, Ph.D., Drexel University, and Elizabeth Anderson, Ph.D., Exponent. This webinar is part of the Society's larger weekly series of webinars and podcasts, COVID Conversations on Risk.

Using case reports and studies on aerosol transport, the webinar will discuss:
- Aerosol transmission of COVID-19 and the implications for public health;
- Recommendations and implications for future strategies to curb the spread of COVID-19; and
- Decisions and considerations, in re-opening and responding to the challenges of COVID-19
Elizabeth Anderson is a senior fellow and principal scientist at Exponent, and a former director of the EPA's health assessment programs, which she helped establish. She has worked extensively on international risk assessment issues to address human health and ecological consequences of exposure to environmental toxicants.
Charles Haas is the L.D. Betz professor of environmental engineering and head of the department of civil, architectural and environmental engineering at Drexel University. He co-directed the USEPA/DHS University Cooperative Center of Excellence - Center for Advancing Microbial Risk Assessment. Throughout his career, he has specialized in the assessment of risk from and control of human exposure to pathogenic microorganisms, and in particular, the treatment of water and wastewater to minimize microbial risk to human health.
