On March 4, Plant Phenomics was officially included in the Scopus database. This is another important database that the journal has entered after being included in CABI, CNKI, DOAJ, and PMC databases. Scopus includes all the articles of Plant Phenomics from its inception in 2019?which is a high recognition of its quality. Scopus stated in the official notification email that "articles published in Plant Phenomics have high citations among all the journals included in Scopus " and "Plant Phenomics has a well-developed international editorial board".

Scopus, the world's largest publisher of scholarly journals launched in November 2004 by Elsevier, is currently the world's largest abstract and citation database, covering 27 subject areas in 4 major categories and including more than 19,000 peer-reviewed journals, as well as books, conference proceedings, patents, and web pages. It provides a comprehensive overview of the world's scientific research in the fields of science, technology, medicine, social sciences, arts and humanities, with more all-round content and more extensive subjects compared with other single abstract indexing databases. Journals included by Scopus will witness a significant increase in the number of hits and reads of the articles they published.

Plant Phenomics, an academic journal jointly founded by Nanjing Agricultural University (NAU) and the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS | Science publisher), was officially issued online in January 2019. As an open access journal, it publishes original research papers, literature reviews, software/databases, methodological guidelines, and perspectives on groundbreaking scientific advances in the interdisciplinary hotspots of plant phenomics. It was selected in 2020 as the High-tech Starting Point Journal of Chinese Science and technology Journal Excellence Plan. Its official website is: spj.sciencemag.org/plantphenomics/

Plant phenomics can achieve the accurate identification of germplasm resources on a large scale, helping transform the advantage of germplasm resources into that of genetic ones. At present, NAU enjoys the first Plant Phenomics Research Center in China, which has an international research & development and engineering team. It has also established a joint research center comprised by Sino-British, Sino-French, Sino-German and Sino-Dutch scientists in plant phenomics. The complete academic echelon and great research power provide excellent intellectual and achievement support for the journal's development.
