Stampede Super Computer Hardware Cluster (IMAGE) U.S. National Science Foundation Caption Stampede is one of the most powerful machines in the world for open science research. Funded by the National Science Foundation and built in partnership with Intel, Dell and Mellanox, Stampede went into production on January 7, 2013 at The University of Texas at Austin's Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC).
