Food Science graduate student Juan Velasquez Domingo takes a sample of wastewater being cleaned with algae to test the water quality.  Velasquez is part of a project to create a pilot-scale aquaponic system using algae for wastewater clean-up. The surplus algae will also be harvested and processed into value-added products.
