Post wildfire debris berm

Student Kaushal Gnyawali and Dr. Tannant can be seen standing on top of a one-metre-high deflection berm constructed to protect property on Okanagan Indian Band land. Understanding if the berm is thick enough, high enough and constructed with the right soil material to resist the debris flow forces and volumes are key questions to be answered in the context of climate change.
