Applications of BNNT-based functional fabrics / The BNNT-based composite fibers can be manufactured into fabrics of various shapes and sizes through weaving. The developed fabrics can be utilized in clothing to protect astronauts, crew members, soldiers, firefighters, healthcare workers, and power plant workers who are expected to be exposed to radiation. The fabric can also be applied to electronic device packaging to prevent soft errors.
