Microbiologist Martin Reinhard Rasmussen has developped and built the MARTINIS system as part of his PhD project at Aarhus University. Here he is in the field with his prototype. As a courtesy to the photographer, he hasn’t buried it completely, so you can just make out the UV light at the bottom.
