The future Huizhou η factory will produce unprecedentedly large quantities of π⁰ and η mesons, pushing the intensity and precision frontiers in the hundreds-of-MeV energy domain. The abundant η meson samples will enable investigations into fundamental particle physics questions, including searches for hypothesized light portal particles and studies of symmetry-breaking effects in strong interactions.
