Among the artifacts that UC Classics researchers Jack Davis and Sharon Stocker found at Pylos, Greece, was this banded agate engraving of a warrior fighting a lion. The piece dates between 1630 and 1440 B.C.E. It will be featured in the new exhibition "The Kingdom of Pylos: Warrior Princes of Ancient Greece" opening June 27 at the J. Paul Getty Museum.
