Myosin-mimicking movement of robot skin actuator (RSA) (VIDEO)
Caption
Myosin, a motor protein in the body, can generate long-distance motion by repeating a pushing and returning motion. We found that with a specific three-dimensional pneumatic structure inside and a specific input sequence, the proposed thin actuator can generate repetitive lateral movements on its surface that mimic the movements of myosin.
