His research explores multimodal social signals such as gaze, gestures, and voice tone of AI users to develop emotionally intelligent AI systems that respond to people naturally. Using a combination of cognitive science, AI, and multimodal sensing, Professor Okada’s research is paving way for a future where technology and the human society collaborate for enhancing human abilities.
