(a) Most blood flow happens in the common Cap1 vessels.
(b) Blood flow speed is similar in all capillaries.
(c) Bigger capillaries tend to have slower blood flow, but the pattern changes in different groups.
(d–e) Blood flow and speed change in different vessel branches and depths.
The speeds shown are at a pressure of 40 mmHg, when vessels are widest. Speeds can be twice as high at higher pressure.
