Leads in the amputated limb record muscle activity to control a prosthetic hand. Electrodes wrap around peripheral nerves, sending signals from the prosthetic fingertips to evoke the sense of touch. The implanted controller communicates via Bluetooth to send control commands from the muscles to the prosthesis and to send sensory signals from the prosthesis to the nerves.
