The figure shows when the molestus mosquito evolved and where, as well as where the form pipiens are concentrated. The diagrams and images present an overall summary of the fundamentals of the paper and identifies the factors that were used to determine that the molestus evolved over 1,000 years ago in the Mediterranean region.
