Four research groups headed by Eberhard Bodenschatz (MPI-DS Göttingen, Germany), Pier Siebesma (TU Delft, Netherlands), Bernhard Mehlig (University of Gothenburg, Sweden), and Fabian Hoffmann (FU Berlin, Germany) – from left to right – join forces to investigate role of turbulence in the physics of stratocumulus clouds. Their research proposal has been funded by the ERC for a period of six years and aim to improve model for climate and weather predictions.
