Undergraduate lab assistants Dhiya Srikanth, Joseph Petruska, Matthew Furst and Kaylin Lamaute work on pressing a ceramic pellet in the materials science lab. The students are part-time research assistants supported by the Department of Materials Science and Engineering and Penn State’s Center for Nanoscale Science, a U.S. National Science Foundation-funded Materials Research Science and Engineering Center.
