The previously known islands of inversion are indicated by green ellipsoids. In the case of Cr-64, 4-particle-4-hole excitation occurs in the neutron orbitals. The isospin-symmetric island of inversion discovered in this study is indicated by a purple ellipsoid. The proton and neutron configurations of the ground state of Mo-84 exhibit symmetrical 4-particle-4-hole excitations, resulting in a total of 8-particle-8-hole excitations.
