Linear relationship between 1/keff and 1/ MU−235 (a), accuracy of keff calculated by linear regression (b).

Caption

Starting from the neutron balance theory, the relationship between reactivity and nuclide concentration was derived, followed by verification of this relationship using the Monte Carlo method. The results confirm a strong linear relationship, and the errors obtained by inverting this linear relationship are comparable to those from the Monte Carlo calculations.
