The efficacy of the proposed algorithm is demonstrated through the clear separation of neutron and gamma-ray signals. Utilizing a 241Am-Be neutron source and a NaIL scintillator, the algorithm achieved a Figure of Merit (FoM) of 2.11. The resulting two-dimensional plot reveals two distinct "clusters"—the neutron "fingerprint" and the gamma-ray background—demonstrating the system's capability to reliably identify radiation types even amidst the signal congestion typical of high-intensity radiation fields.
