Video of a human cell (U2OS) expressing a newly designed probe (left, green) that binds and lights up a chemical tag that decorates histone proteins in the cell nucleus (middle, purple). A drug was added at the beginning of the movie to increase the levels of the chemical tag over time. This causes the probe levels to also increase in the nucleus.
