The linear and rapid change characteristics of the core magnetic field and the gravity field after 2014.

The figure shows the result of the gravity signal and the geomagnetic signal after Blind Source Separation processing. The spatial modes are shown at the bottom part of figure and the second temporal mode of the gravity field is significantly correlated with the first temporal mode of the magnetic field (left top). We focus on the rapidly evolving patterns of field acceleration since 2014. The structure of the geomagnetic acceleration change is an east–west-aligned dipole in the Pacific region (right top).
