A rendering of the fluid simulation involving 100,000 spherical particles on 3D fluid grid of hundreds of millions of points falling downwards due to gravity. Each particle has mass and influences the ten points surrounding it.  Orange indicates downward-moving liquid, blue upwards, with color intensity indicating the velocity. A downward-moving plume is seen on the left, with an equivalent upward-moving plume on the right due to the displacement in the fluid caused by the particles.
