Real-space thermal imaging of altermagnetic domains in RuO2 using lock-in thermography

Figure 2 shows clear domain contrast in RuO2(110)/Pt bilayers. The amplitude map (left) displays heat modulation intensity, while the phase map (middle) reveals regions with 180° phase shift corresponding to opposite Néel vector orientations. The composite parameter X_odd (right) eliminates background signals, clearly distinguishing 0° domains (red) from 180° domains (blue). These results demonstrate successful visualization of altermagnetic magnetic domains at micrometer scale.
