U. of I. health and kinesiology professors Andrew Yockey, left, and Rachel Hoopsick analyzed data from the 2024 National Survey on Drug Use and Health, finding that more than 8 million people in the U.S. reported using psilocybin in the past year. Many reported also using other substances such as LSD, ketamine and cocaine.
