Patient-derived glioblastoma (GBM) cells can be cultured with human-derived neurons to see how interactions develop over time. Through advanced microscopy techniques, the Tringides lab is able to image neuron-GBM connections, including the transfer of mitochondria (green in the microscopy image pictured on computer screen).
