Transplanting jewelflower field work (IMAGE)
Caption
Researchers transplant mountain jewelflower seedlings, derived from 23 different populations across California, into a single site in the Sierras. They are assessing whether the flowers are still well-adapted to their home range, as well as how plants from other areas may help them cope with the changing climate.
